My Review
Kimmie is different some would say weird with her many off
the way dreams and her word spouting when she get nervous. She might be a
little on the strange side but in a good fun loving way. Josh comes across as a
hard man but really he is just a fun loving man trying to protect those he
loves. This is one author that knows how to reach your funny bone as she gives
you Kimmie and Josh’s story. Her mother the Queen General as she is known is a
hard woman. She has kept Kimmie under her thumb all her life. She controls
everything even the town and she wants Kimmie married that is to anyone but
Josh. She is pushing every single man in town at her daughter, young, old,
poor, even uneducated one will do. Mother General wants her part of the bakery
back and Josh out of the picture and doesn’t care how it is done. Which makes
some funny scenes as Kimmie and Josh dance around each other both wanting
something that neither is willing to give.
I really loved this book it isn’t my favorite of this series
but it is packed with laughs as you are cheering and watching Josh puts Kimmie’s
mother in her place. No one but no one has been able to get one over on Kimmie’s
mother she is well known for runs everyone’s life like the Queen General she
is. When you add one nervous lady who spouts weird things out of her mouth with
a very sexy confident man who isn’t afraid
to stand up giving back what she has always given others you have one
outstanding funny read.
This is one author that takes her unique
sense of humor spinning it into a story that will make you laugh out loud. This
can be a standalone but to really get the full impact of Kimmie’s mother you
need to read the whole series. I highly
recommend anything this author writes. If you love to smile, laugh and just
feel good you do not want to miss this series.
