Mail Order Bride: Ramona

Mail Order Bride: Ramona (Orphan Brides Go West Book 2)
by Vivi Holt

My Review
This is a very touching read of one woman whose mother left her to remarry just leaving a note. Even though Ramona is of age she is still heartbroken that her mother would do this. She has nothing and no one with her father being dead. This is her journey to live her dream of singing and dancing on Broadway and finding her mother.

Moving in with a friend she just about gives up on life. Her mother has always been there for her now she is gone. With her friends help she decides she must find her mother they see an ad for a mail order bride in the state her mother moved to. She decides this is the best route for her, she has no plans to marry just find her mother.  Ramona is a sweet character who never learned how to stand on her feet her mother has always been there.

Michael has finally made a life for his self now he wants a family. There just isn’t any woman there he would take home for meet his mother. He decides he will get a mail order bride. Ramona answers his ad and comes to town. Things do not go as planned she doesn’t seem to want to get married. I really liked Michael he is a hard working gentleman who just wants the women he fell in love with. When tragedy strikes, Michael is there she must decide if she will follow her dream or stay with the man she loves.

This is a nice clean read filled with so much pain. You heart goes out to each of these characters. You wonder what the devil the mother was thinking and why would she do this. Ramona is a dreamer she needs to stop dreaming and face facts. Some dreams never come true or do they? The author gives you a believable story with a good plot and wonderful characters. She keeps the read interesting with a few twist and turns. I really enjoyed the read and look forward to reading more from this author.

Overview
A sweet Mail Order Bride romance from Vivi Holt.

Ramona has always wanted to perform on Broadway, but when her mother moves to Austin to re-marry after her father’s death, she is left stranded in New York, homeless and alone.

Quiet and gentle, Michael longs to find the missing piece to his otherwise contented life – someone to share the journey with - a wife.

When Ramona discovers the Mail Order Bride service, she sees it as her chance to go to Austin and find her mother. She arrives in Austin and it soon becomes apparent that she has other things on her mind than getting married.

When tragedy strikes, Michael is there to pick up the pieces, and Ramona’s finds her heart in jeopardy. Will she fall for the man she once overlooked? Can they find happiness together after all?

This book is a sweet, clean, western, historical, romance novella. It is a complete story, but it is also part of the Orphan Brides Go West series. Be sure to read them all - in any order!
