Snowflake Wishes (Echo Lake 0.5)

Snowflake Wishes (Echo Lake 0.5)
by Maggie McGinnis

 My Review
Some of us need excitement the thrill of the rush and others are homebodies who like the closeness of friends and family around us. This is a story about second chances finding a happy medium where two people who love each other can hopefully work through their difference and find a HEA. True these are BIG differences where one could find death leaving the other to carry on. It was a heartwarming read watching these two people who love each other so much trying to work through the problems only to find they might never be together.

This was a very touching read and my heart goes out to the Noah and Piper who never work things out many years ago. The author gives you wonderful characters that you can relate to. Noah and Piper are very likable down to earth people just trying to get by and be with the one they love. Seven years ago both with different ways but neither forgot the other. Their love never died only got stronger. Now they are back together and nothing has changed Noah still needs that rush, he loves his job but will true love win out or will Piper give in and driver herself crazy every time he leaves?

I love this author writing she pulls you in giving you a page turner never sure how it will end. She gives you a touching heartwarming read that just about rips your heart out. All the characters are likable and down to earth. They give lots of support to the main characters. Ms. McGinnis paints lovely scenes you can picture in your mind. This is a lovely Christmas story but you forget that and just get so into the read that all you see is the lovely snow and two people who totally love each other. This is a nice clean read which will touch your heart and give you a warm fuzzy feeling. I totally loved this story.

Book Description
Noah Drake was that guy--the one always on the lookout for his next adrenaline high, so it was no surprise when he took off across the world, seeking adventure as a travel writer. But one thing he could never escape was Piper Bellini, the girl who got away--the girl he let get away, a fact he's never let himself forget. When he returns to Echo Lake to see if there's any chance the flame between them can be rekindled, he never expects to spend the night holed up with Piper in a roadside diner while a blizzard rages outside. It's exactly the kind of situation that sent Piper running years ago. But this time, Noah may have been handed a Christmas miracle, and he intends to make all of his and Piper's wishes come true...
