My Review
This was a book that I had trouble putting down. The author keeps her cards close to her chest not revealing to much and keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen. It is packed full of action, a few thrills, excitement as the author takes you through the who and why. She gives you danger, romance and passion on the clean side. This is one read that you will find a little bite of very thing in. I thought when we go to the last 30 minutes that it was going to end in a cliffhanger. This author pulls off fitting a lot into a little time which blow me away. It is a believable account of times gone past which is what out great nation is built on. This is one author that makes me wish I lived back in this time with these wonderful characters. Time might have been hard but they sure knew how to have fun, take care of business, handle issues and build a wonderful life.

The right narrator for an audio is very important, the voices and tones must fit the characters. I have not had the pleasure of listening to anything by Troy Duran. He was a delight with a warm strong smooth voice I could listen to for hours. His male voices are strong, pleasant you never are left guessing as to how the character feels or what their emotions are. His Female voices were soft, smooth even tones again never leaving you guessing to their emotions. There are no breaks that the reader can tell just smooth even tones that gives the listener the pleasure to being taken back in time. Mr. Duran tones are strong, smooth and fits each character with the correct tones so you have no doubt how they feel whether it be happy, sad, angry etc. I cannot wait to listen to more from this narrator.

Abby is a girl after my own heart there isn't much she can't do just as good or better than any man. When she sets her mind to something she is full steam ahead. Lord does this little lady get into trouble as she keeps you laughing at the messes she gets into. Starting off by getting the best on a bet with her father. She must marry by the end of the week or go live with her aunt. Never did her father think she would pull it off nor in the way she does. There were so many funny parts in this book that made me laugh out loud but I would have to say the start of the book was the most funny. One man steps up to her bold question as he punches out a few unkindly men who are making fun of her. Well she has herself a husband now what is she going to do with him. She has won her bet with her father who is one unhappy man lol. There is nothing not to love about the bullheaded, strong willed women.

Cole will steal your heart as he makes you laugh. Oh he steps up and agrees to marry Abby but lord she is turning out to be a handful. Once daddy gets over the marriage he sets back and chuckles as Cole deals with his strong willed wife. Cole is everything any women would want in a man. He is strong, caring, loving and dependable as he promises to keep his wife safe. The only thing is his wife is just looking for away to stay home she doesn't want a man telling her what to do. Poor Cole finds he spends more time chasing down his wife getting her out of mess after mess not leaving much time to take care of the business that brought him there. He is still out to find out who killed his best friend along with all the mishap that keep going on around him.

This author starts off with a bang that will keep you in stitches as you feel sorry for Abby you cannot help but laugh as the book takes off. The author keeps you laughing throughout this read. She gives you sadness, sorrow and pain as she takes you on a thrilling adventure of who is after their land and what they have plan for this couple. You will know the who but the author leaves it to the end for the characters to know and the why of it all. I totally loved this book so much that I checked out the next book in this series which totally had me thrilled to find out I already had bought it. I just had to hope over to take the deal for the audio. This may have been the first time I have read/listen to anything by this author or narrator but it sure will not be the last. She gives you outstanding wonderful characters you can relate to as she brings you outstanding humor. This sure was a page turner that I could not put down. I found things to do around the house so I could listen to it all at once. I doubt my house has been this clean in a long time. If you are looking for a book that pulls you in and you won't be able to put down this is the one for you.

Whisper of Desire (The Disgraced Lords #4)
by Bronwen Evans

My Review

Fear is a very dangerous thing and comes in all shapes and sizes and usually has something to do with our childhood. Both Marisa and Maitland have fears that have been feed throughout their life. Now they must meet them head on as they face an enemy who plans to bring down Maitland and his friends for what their fathers have done. The author gives a very touching and heartbreaking read of two people who were caught in a compromised situation which lead them to marriage. Now they must learn to deal with their fears and find away to make the marriage work.

Marisa is a very free spirit woman for this time period. She will not be kept in a box and turn her head. She believes in taking the bull by the horn and let things fall where they may. There is a madwoman out there trying to take down her family. She will not set by and do nothing, as they make a stand the women is two steps ahead of them. Marisa will gain but lose much as the hunt is on for the women who wants them all taken out and destroyed. I loved Marisa she is a very likable character she is headstrong and bullheaded. She is a very passionate that at times would make a person blush. She has to work out what Maitland problem is he wants her but he doesn't. He is driving her mad and this must come to a head.

Maitland has a past he is dealing with he must always be in control in and out of the bedroom. This hasn't been a problem until Marisa now he is about to lose all control. He father was a madman, he does his best to be a better man than he was. He keeps to a schedule to not let the enter beast he is sure is in him out. He must marry, he must have a son, Marisa seem like the best women sweet, kind and gentle. That is until the I dos are said where he finds she is driven in Passion. Not only is he running from a madwomen but his wife as well. He must face his fears before he can have any kind of life with his wife.

This was a story I had trouble putting down I even stayed up until 2 am to finish it. I enjoyed it so much that I bought the rest of the books in this series. For the most part I found this to be a believable story but at times I thought it might be a little over the top of what is expect and I feel sure is the way of women back in this period. I could be wrong lords knows I have been. It does make this one hot passionate read which adds so much to this story. This is the first I have read by this author and I am so looking forward to reading more. It is a standalone but does talk about past things from the books before. If you are like me you will want to know what they are. This does have a HAE but it is heartbreaking that one madwoman gives so much and takes so much away. I cannot wait to find out who she is and why she is doing this. If you are looking for a read that is highly entertaining with wonderful characters you have found it. This is one author that starts and end with a bang taking you through a well written read you will not be able to put down. She make you feel all warm and fuzzy as she shows you what real life is all about which will leave you sad at the same time.

Book Description
Sensual heat melts the ice in the new Disgraced Lords novel from USA Today bestselling author Bronwen Evans, as a marriage of convenience leads to delightful pleasure—and mortal danger.

Lady Marisa Hawkestone’s nightmare is just beginning when she wakes up naked, with no memory of the night before, lying next to Maitland Spencer, the Duke of Lyttleton—a man so aloof and rational he’s nicknamed “the Cold Duke.” A scandal ensues, in which Marisa’s beloved beau deserts her. As a compromised woman, Marisa agrees to marry Maitland. But on her wedding night, Marisa discovers the one place the duke shows emotion: in the bedroom, where the man positively scorches the sheets.

Taught from a young age to take duty seriously, Maitland cannot understand his new wife’s demands on his love and affection. Marisa’s hot-blooded spirit, however, does have its attractions—especially at night. In retrospect, it seems quite silly that he didn’t marry sooner. But being one of the Libertine Scholars requires constant vigilance, even more so when the enemy with a grudge against his closest friends targets Marisa. Now Maitland must save the woman who sets his heart aflame—or die trying.

Cold Fear: Cold Justice Series, Volume 4

    Written by: Toni Anderson
    Narrated by: Eric G. Dove
    Length: 10 hrs and 59 mins
        Series: Cold Justice, Book 4
    Unabridged Audiobook
    Release Date:09-29-15
    Publisher: Toni Anderson

My Review

This author has always been able to pull me in, keep me guessing as she entertaining me to no end. Between the author and narrator this was a hard to put down I wanted to know how it ended. Serial killers have always got my attention this is the next best thing to a true read. Trying to understand the who and why is mind blowing. Ms. Anderson pulls you in with her very talented mind as the narrator hooks you with his smooth voice painting a story of mystery and death leaving you second guessing who the killer or killers are. Just when you think you have it worked out and you say that is just to easy no way...the author talks you into believing what she has setup for you only to find your first thought was true. It was to easy and you might need to do a little more looking. I can honestly say I never saw that coming, would have never guessed it.

The narrator as always did a wonderful outstanding job. There are not any breaks that you can tell just a smooth rich voice plotting the story the author wrote. He hits all the correct tones pulling you in making you believe what is going on. He has wonderful character voice, you have no trouble knowing who and what sex they are. There are no background noises just a smooth reach narration that will keeping you hanging on not wanting to put this book down. I have loved Eric G. Dove from the first book I have ever listened to that he narrated. I always look forward to his narration. He has narrated a few of Ms. Anderson books which I have loved. I always get excited when I see his name and know I am going to totally love the book.

Frazer has always been one of my favorite characters throughout this series. He is strong, alpha, will a wonderful attitude. He is a tough cop who doesn't give up easy and always gets his person. It was nice to see him get his own story. He does however need to deal with his past as the author brings more of it to life in this read you come to understanding him better. Not only does he have his handful with Izzy  along with the killer and some teens that are working through their own issues. This is one cop that toes the line all but one time. Even years later he is still dealing with this which will get in his way with Izzy and her secret. Ones past has a way of coming back to bite you on your butt as he will find out when all of Izzy past comes back to haunt her. He is going to have to decide if love can out weather the fall out when the past comes knocking.

Izzy has been haunted by her past and it is about to come back in a big way. She walked away years ago but with her mother dying she must come home to help take care of her sister. Teens can be so trying on their best days but her sister is hell-bent on making bad decision. Getting even with the popular girls will be her down fall in many ways the bigs is losing her best friend. As Izzy does her best to help her sister through some very trying times she must also face her past while trying to find out who the killer is and why they have come back after all these years.  Danger is all around is there no stopping this killer? What about her new founded relationship with Frazer will he still want her when he finds out her secret?

I was drawn to Ms. Anderson's book from the very first book. She deliveries a bang from the first page that pulls you in and holds you throughout the read. Her stories are very believable with all that is going on in the world it isn't hard to believe this could or has really happened. This series revolves around states and place I know well which is an added bonus for me. This is one author that has done her research well knowing the places this series takes place it is easy for me to know she given great thought to the plot and the place she has built it around. She always keeps you guessing as to who the killer is. You must look deep and give much thought before you can pick him out. I have to say I am always surprised when he is revealed never guessing to who it is. Ms. Anderson is another of my go to authors when I want thrills, adventure and excitement she never lets me down. The sex is hot as two people find their way and could be torn apart when things come out. There are some very heated scenes that will give you hot flashes. She has picked a narrator that goes well with this series. Between the two they make the perfect match to bring you all you come to expect. This book was a little more intents and graphic than most of her stories. It will shock you and keep you turning the pages. I am so looking forward to the next book I can hardly wait. I know it will be as thrilling and exciting as this one has been. If you haven't read anything by this author I highly recommend you do. All of her books have been outstanding but this series has been the best so far. Read this one as a standalone but if you want the full impact of the characters you do not want to miss one book in this series.

Dacey: Bride of North Carolina (American Mail-Order Bride #12)
by Shanna Hatfield

My Review
Ms Hatfield has out done herself on this book I totally loved it. She gives you a different twist on the mail-order bride. With the mother doing to ordering up of one bride. She wants grandchildren and to see her son happily married. You will find yourself smiling and laughing the whole way through this story. One mother who does her best to see her dream come true, one not soon to be husband, the mail order bride who gets a shock that she is not to be wed, one ex who isn't happy that Braxton got away turns this into one funny read which is highly entertaining.

Braxton is taken by surprise to find the lady he past on the road is his soon to be bride. There is no way no how he is going to get married now to set his mother straight. I found myself laughing at this wonderful read with Dacey hello I am your bride to be. I would have loved to have been there to see his face and Dacey's when she found out that he wasn't going to marry her. There is something about this little spitfire that holds his attention. He might not want her but he sure doesn't want anyone else to have her. He finds a way to keep her close but not to close as he finds she has a way with horses and people he finds he might just want more than friendship.

Dacey has had a rough time of it, she lost her father, her stepfather isn't the man they thought him to me. She finds out just what a man he is when her mother dies. This leave her off and running starting a new life. Which leads her to being a mail order bride. Dacey seems to get her self into trouble. You will laugh at her tales of her life and all she has done. She is an independent women who knows what she wants and will step up to the plate to take care of herself. You are so going to love this charming lady.

Braxton mother has a few tricks up her sleeve as she puts plans in to motion to help her son fall in love. She is truly a sweetheart of a lady who is hellbent to see her only son married.  You have to smile along with her as she plans her sons downfall.

This was a delight to read the author does spin some twist that makes this a page turner. She gives you wonderful characters as she takes you back in time that makes history. This was a well thought out book that had me laughing throughout it. I could picture the scenes as I turned the pages getting so wrapped up that I could not put this book down. There wasn't anything I didn't like it was a well put together plot. If you haven't read any of this authors work I suggest you start with this one. You will be hook and want to read more by her. Ms. Hatfield is my go to author when I need a smile I know she will have one waiting for me.

Texas Hustle (Texas Montgomery Mavericks #6)
by Cynthia D'Alba

My Review
Texas Hustle is a book filled of fun, humor as two people finding their way to love overcoming issues of age gap and a ex who wants revenge. I wouldn't call him an ex but someone she wanted as a boyfriend, everyone wanted him and for one night she got her wish which changed her life forever.  I totally enjoyed this plot of winning Darren in an auction in hopes of putting off her ex until she could work out what to do about him. Things do not go as planned in keeping Darren at arms link as the author heats of the pages filling them with passion.

Darren is clueless he has been attracted to Porchia since he first laid eyes on her. He has flirted and has done his best to pull her into his web. Nothing seems to work, he has one week to change all this as he romances her the only way he knows how. Darren is a wonderful character any women would be happy to call hers. He is strong, caring and loving. Nothing comes before family or the women he loves. You have to love his humor and his moves as he takes on the world to keep Porchia safe.

Porchia is a sweet woman who has never had a loving family. When she sees how Darren's family acts she is floored she had no idea that families acted this way. As she is pulled into their lives she must remember not to get to close for danger is around every corner.  Her family is truly something as I feel you will make up your own mind as to how each reader will feel about her parents. I can't say I cared to much for them but by the end of the book I like her father a little more. I really loved Porchia and could really relate to her and her issues. It is heartbreaking to lose everything with one night and one mistake but to have that mistake come back and bite you is horrible for such a wonderful sweet lady.

The author gives you wonderful supporting characters that will keep you laughing with all they do. I can't say the ex was even close to being a favorite character as he added thrills and a few chills to the read. I just love small towns where everyone helps everyone. The fall back is they know everything that goes on. It is hard to get away with anything but as the chips fall they usually stand beside you and help you along. The author gives you a very believable story which is filled with heartbreak and hope. As always Ms. D'Alba pulls her readers in with a winning plot that keeps you turning the pages. She burns up the pages full of very hot nights of passion as these two pull on your heart strings. Running from you past is never a good thing it always comes back to haunt you as this author reminds us. There was nothing I didn't like about this read. Ms. D'Alba has another winner on her hands. I chuckled and laughed my way through this at times my heart was in my throat hoping for the best but expecting the worse. This was a very well written and thought out read as the author takes you on a compelling story of facing your past, trying to overcome it as you take your life back and grow to become the person you want to be. This is a book everyone will love, I recommend anything by this author she knows how to entertain her readers. You will not want to miss "Texas Hustle"

Turn Up the Heat: A Pine Mountain Novel

    Written by: Kimberly Kincaid
    Narrated by: Casey Holloway
    Length: 9 hrs and 24 mins
        Series: Pine Mountain, Book 1
    Unabridged Audiobook
    Release Date:05-06-14
    Publisher: Audible Studios

My Review
At first I didn't care too much for this story most likely due to the uptown girl image which the narrator had down to a T. A snotty rich girl that at first sight was over the top. I was very, very wrong Bellamy at first comes across this way the narrator does a wonderful job of making her seem like this. However once the book takes off you find she isn't anything but a wonderful girl who is really unhappy in her job. She might come across as looking down at you but she really isn't. She is a down to earth lady who is just finding her way as she gets over a bad break up. If you love small town romances as I do you will love this.

Casey Holloway narration wasn't bad she does a great job giving you the rich girl tones and the lowly boy who is poor. I didn't hear any breaks it was a pretty even read. There is not any background noise. Her character voices are pretty good and I thought she did a great job. I really didn't care for the snotty girl but they grow on you. They seemed younger than what I think the author wanted them to be. All in all I thought she did a good job and would listen to more audios by this narrator.

Bellamy might have left town to get away for a week of peace but what she does is reflect on her life, her ex and her job. She will make life changing choices before the week is through. All with getting to know one bullhead man who gets her motor started. I thought she was a good character who grows on you. At first she is a turn off and it is most likely due to the narrator. She really is a sweet down to earth lady that came from money and only wants to make her family happy. She has wonderful friends who stands by her and will move heaven and earth to help her through hard times. I think most of us would love to have friends like this.

Shane is just a dream man who has all the right moves. He is hiding a few things and needs to work out some issues but with the right women he just might find out life isn't as bad as he thinks. He doesn't care for rich snotty women and pushes Bellamy away even though she turns him on he just can't see anything happening. Once things take off with Bellamy he really needs to come clean. Like most men they never do what they should which usually gets them in major trouble. It was interesting to watch this play out.

The author gives you a wonderful story of what you see isn't what you get. She adds humor to keep you smiling as she entertains you with some major twists. From the first page you will smile and keep smiling throughout the read. This was a fun loving read that does have some major heartache. Both will have to learn to trust and give back as well as get over the past and move on. The author gives you some very passionate scenes which are very heated.  I do have to admit I was hooked and had a hard time putting it away. I had to know the ending so I found things to do around the house so I could finish this tonight. You will be surprised how things play out and you won't even see it coming. The supporting characters are outstanding. I found this to be a believable read with believable characters. I can't wait to listen to a few others I have by this author.

Book Description
 "It's not you."

There are only so many times a girl can hear those words before she believes that it is, in fact, very much her. Unexpectedly jilted by her locally famous boyfriend and haunted by a boss who makes Attila the Hun look like a lap dog, Bellamy Blake does what any self-respecting girl in her shoes would do. She rounds up her two best girlfriends and makes plans to get the hell out of Dodge....

But Bellamy's escape plan takes a nose dive on the side of rural route 164 when her transmission self-destructs, leaving her in the middle of a cell phone dead zone with nothing but her wits. Oh, and Shane Griffin, the hottest mechanic who's ever checked under her hood.

Yet this small-town man isn't all he seems. Can Shane and Bellamy prove that sometimes the most unlikely ingredients make the most deliciously sexy mix?

About the author
Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet. When she's not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as "The Pleather Bomber", she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to éclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. Kimberly is a 2015 RWA RITA© finalist who lives (and writes!) by the mantra that food is love. Her digital Line series is all about the hot cops and sexy chefs of Brentsville, New York. Timeless Moments: The Final Chapter (Timeless Tales, #5)
by Ruth a Casie, Lita Harris, Emma Kaye, Nicole S. Patrick, Julie Rowe, Hope Ramsay

My Review
I have just started this box-set and am totally loving it. These are fast pace reads that leave nothing out. For short stories the authors give you all the details you need with no unanswered questions. These are authors I haven't read before which for me was a delightful surprise how they fill the pages and make you fall in love with the characters. They bring you stories you will love and can relate to.

Julie Rowe ~ Merry Christmas, Baby
Is a very touching read whoever said you can't come home is wrong. Sometimes the one you left behind is the one you are meant to be with. This is a story about misunderstandings of how you believed things to be way back when. It is a shocker when these two find out they were on the same wave length all along missing out on many years they might have been happy in.

Charles is a delightful hunk of a man who has went through some trying times. He just needs the right girl to show him what love is all about. Mattie is walking away from a bad marriage from a man who put her down. These two must overcome a few issues before they can find their HEA.

The author puts a lot into a little time, she gives you a wonderful delightful read that pulls at your heartstrings. She fills the page with HOT passion just when you need your pages to burn up. Giving it just the right amount to make this one outstanding hot read.

You are so going to totally love and enjoy this box-set

Lucky Shot (The Montana Hamiltons #3)
by B.J. Daniels

My Review
Lucky Shot by B. J. Daniels is the third installment in The Montana Hamiltons series. This is the best one so far. There is so much going on to keep you entertained with all the mystery and danger to pull you in and make you forget all the things you have to do. Just when you think you have it all worked out the author throws a twist into the mix and you are back to guessing again how this series will end. You will find out more about Sarah but will end with more question than answers. There is some heartbreak, a few deaths and some very interesting turns. Kat father is still running for president but with his long lost wife (who was dead) returns it leaves one wondering what she is hiding. With no memory of the last 20 years and the way she returned she leave a lot of unanswered questions. You have Max on the hunt for the story as he takes a picture of Kat's father and a women. He wants Kat to admit it is her mother but she isn't admitting to anything.

Max always gets his story he expect no less with this one that is until Kat walks into his life along with someone out to keep him off the story. Just as things heat up with Kat the story takes a turn with him coming out behind. Every turn someone seems to be one step ahead of them. Kat want answers but is Max the one to help her get them, can he be trusted and at what cost. Max might find that it isn't always about the story but about life, love and freedom. These two hit head on from the start, both are stubborn and a little bullhead. Max has his work cut out for him trying to convince Kat that things are not as they seem. Could there be a bigger plan going on and what does it have to do with Kat's mother. As they hunt down the answers things start getting dangerous can Max keep Kat safe? There does seem to be more on the line than his life.

This was a very well thought out plot which keeps you head spinning as the author takes you on a hunt for the missing pieces. Just as you put one piece together the piece comes up missing and you find they have to start over again. Each character is full of surprises as each seems to be hiding something. It does seem Sarah is hiding the most. The question is does she remember or is her memory really lost. Who is behind all the people coming up missing and just where was Sarah for the last 20 years. Some of these questions will be answered some will not as the author gives you a compelling read of danger, heartbreak, pain, lose, love, mystery and adventure. This is one book you will not be able to put down, plan on reading it when you have nothing to do. It is a page turner that will leave you thinking OH MY. With all that is going on in the world today the author gives you a very well written believable story of one family who has lost so much and has even more to lose as they find love that will last a lifetime.

I have to say I am so hooked on this series. I have to find out what really is going on with Sarah. I hope and pray that I am wrong in what I am thinking but time will tell. I really enjoyed the love/hate going on with Max and Kat. They really do burn up the pages from their hot tempter to their secretes. Their story is one of a very painful past which will touch her heart. Max just might be the man to help Kat overcome her past as they find love in one thrilling mystery which leaves everyone wondering if maybe there is a lot more to Kat family than meets the eye. You are so going to love this addition to this wonderful series.

Throttle (Jack 'Em Up #3)
by Shauna Allen

My Review
First I have to say this books name fits it well before you finish it you will want to Throttle Trace more than once. This is a very emotion ride in many ways, you have a past you must overcome, a future that isn't looking very bright, trust issues, an ex, a darling child, people who have been fantasizing about each other for a very long time. The author throws in a few surprises along the way that leaves you thinking this cannot be good. This is a pretty fast pace read that is highly entertaining. It is a very well written with a wonderful plot that at times you would love to grab a few heads and bang them together until they see reason. This author knows how to pull you in as she grips your heart as few tears fill your eyes.

If you have read the other books in this series than you know Trace has been lusting after Tori for a very long time. It does seem she has been doing a little lusting herself but who could blame her with a man this hot. Trace just cannot seem to get the nerve to ask Tori out until it is almost too late. Once he does things start rolling in a roller-coaster ride up and down they go as life gets in the way of true love. Trace has issues there is no doubt from the moment he finds he is a single father as the mother takes off to places unknown. His son always comes first but he can't help how Tori pulls him in. Now he must juggle his life between Tori and his son, oh wait let's not forget the ex which just made life more complicated. Just when you and he thinks life is great and love is on the way it throws a tailspin in his world leaving him scared and alone. He does have a lot going for him. He is sex walking on a stick, one hot man with trust issues. I would gladly take him off Tori hands if things do not work out.

Tori has had her eye on Trace for some time. She wonders why he never made a move on her. When he does life get very complicated as she moves on into her career with Trace and his son mixed up all in it. This is a sweet, sexy, caring lady that puts others first. Trace has his hand full but hers just got a little fuller as well. She has family issues she must face that has her world spinning out of control add Trace and his issues you have one hot mess. I really liked this lady she knows what the words "I love you" means. She gives space when needed and always there for her man when he needs her.

I loved how this relationship was built on friendship, taking it slow and building up to some very hot sex scenes. Both are scared to give their hearts for totally different reasons. There is no way you can read this story and not walk away with it touching your heart. This was a very well written and well thought out plot. I have waited a long time for this story and it was well worth the wait. It touched me in so many ways from so many angles as the author send you twists that will leave you in a tailspin. This is a book you will not want to put down and leaving you wanting the next book in this series in your hands today. It looks to be even better than this one. Each book in this series is better than the last. I loved the characters their issues will break your heart over and over again. Ms. Allen is another of my go to authors. You know whatever she writes will grip you and pull you in as she gives you day to day issues with believable characters. You will smile, laugh and have tears in your eyes before you read the last page. I love this author and her writing style as she pulls you in and gives you a compelling read of  insecurity, doubt, fear, along with hope, dreams and love. This is one outstanding read you do not want to miss.

Book Description
I have a past. I have pain.
I don’t dwell on those because I have a future.
I’ve got my career and my wits. I don’t need love, or lust, or some man to make me complete. That’s for fairy tales.
Yeah, right.
Trace Berringer is the perfect male specimen, wrapped up in a smart, sexy, witty package, and while I may not need him, I sure want him. But he’s got a past of his own. One that may ultimately keep us apart.
~~~~~
Tori Waters has become both my fantasy and my nightmare.
I’ve wanted her since the moment we met, but she has walls a mile high.
Hell, so do I.
Sex and shameless flirting are one thing, but I’ve been burned and I can’t afford to go there again. My son is my heart, my soul. It’s just us against the world and I’d kill to protect him.
No one, definitely no woman, is going to hurt us again.
That is a promise.
Saving Laurel
by Raine English
My Review
This was a very cute short read the plot was well thought out bring the past to the future. Laurel cannot get over the past of how her true loved die and how she blames herself. Coming home puts her face to face where she has to deal with the issues before she can move on. With guilt eating away at her she never plan to find a new love. Faith sometimes has a plan of its own as she soon comes to find out.
The characters are very likable as the author gives you a wonderful story that will break your heart. This was a very intriguing story that keeps you turning the pages. I would have liked to known a few more things. For a short story it was a very good read. As with the norm of a short story you cannot give too much away. Know that the author does pull you in, breaks your heart and then gives you a big smile at the end. It was a wonderful Christmas read that you can read in just a little time for those days when you want to smile but do not have a lot of time to set and read.
An Unexpected Proposal (Treasured Dreams #4)
by Susan Hatler
 My Review
As is the norm for this author she gives you a delightful short story that just gives you a feeling of awww. We each have dreams as we grow and get older our dreams change. As with Holly and Dave they each have their dreams which do not fit with the others. Now Holly much chose which of her dreams she wants the most to stay in her little sweet town or to be with the man she loves.
For a very short story this was a delightful read. From the first page your heart break for Holly She reflects back over her parents and what they felt was important. In a few seconds she makes up her mind and is surprised when she finds he has other dreams.
This was a very well thought out story which grips your heart. Making you believe in dreams do come true. That if you are really lucky you can have it all.
Prove Me Right (It's Kind Of Personal)
by Anna Brooks
My Review
For me this book was filled full of drama and excuses. On one hand I thought is was wonderful that Liam was true to Meara even with many years apart he never once cheated. The trouble I have with him is he used other things to get over not being with her and could lose everything. Whatever decisions we make in life we must take the blame for them right or wrong. You do not blame others or issues you are going through for what you do. Liam is not a strong character and comes off almost baby-fide. I do however found this to a believable story and feel this is the case with a few people who look to escape issues. I cannot say I like Liam at all but I do understand him which doesn't make him right.
Meara is a strong character even when times get bad she never gives up and always puts her man first. That is until he goes back to his old ways. She said what would happen if he did and she stuck by her word. I really liked her a lot she comes across as a well put together person. She focuses on her future and never waves from her goals.
This was a good read just to much drama for me about how one man falls apart when he can't be where he wants to be because of his choices. All characters can't be people we like they tell a story of how it really is. As a women I am just sure I would ever trust him again it would be to easy for him to fall back to his old ways when things didn't go the way he wanted them. The author does give you a HAE and at times a very sad touching read.
Wrestlin' Christmas: Rodeo Romance Book 2
    Written by: Shanna Hatfield
    Narrated by: Luke Andreen
    Length: 7 hrs and 59 mins
    Unabridged Audiobook
    Release Date:11-14-14
    Publisher: Shanna Hatfield
My Review
I have read or listened to this whole series I really have enjoyed them but I do believe so far this one is my favorite. Life is so tough when you lose the things you think are important you may go in a direction that isn't always right. We tend to forget others have it worse than we do and only think of ourselves as Cort does. This author gives you a wonderful amazing read of Cort finding his way back from drinking and a family he thought he would never have. This story is so touching it will break your heart and leaving you smiling with tears in your eyes. Ms. Hatfield gives you a read full of pain, anger, and lost. When you do not think you have more to lose you find you do as a family walks away in hopes of getting their love one to come back to them.
KC has had a hard life from childhood to adult she doesn't ask for much just lives one day as it comes. She lost her parents, her husband and part of her child now she faces loosing her ranch. Her marriage wasn't bad but it wasn't good and she vows no man will ever get close to her again. Sometimes life has it's own thoughts as it brings Cort to her door she finds he isn't only a handy man but works wonders with her son and her heart. As they grow close she must decide what is best for her family. It might surprise you the twist this author gives as the fight for love begins.
When Cort got hurt and had to give up the rodeo he thinks his life is over. He makes decisions his family isn't happy with. One too many nights out drinking and not facing life puts him in a tail spin when his family hits him with some major facts. Being dropped off at his best friend's door he goes through the motions until his friend sends him to help the widow. This is a day that will change his life as he takes on the run down ranch, the widow and her silent son. Things are about to get heated up with misunderstanding, pointing fingers and the love of one child.
Luke Andreen did an outstanding job on this narrations. When it came time for tears to fall you could hear them in his voice. There was a place at the end where Cort got chocked up that you could really hear the tears in his voice. This was a very touching scene for me and almost had me in tears as well. This narrator gives you a very touching listen as he brings to live the many wonderful voice of all the different characters. There are no background noises just a smooth rich audio that reaches in and grabs your heartstrings. There was a time or two where you might be able to tell he took a break as his tone gets a little higher. No way does it take away from the audio and you almost miss it. I totally enjoyed listening to him with his rich deep voice. I am really looking forward to listening to more audios from this narrator.
Ms. Hatfield give you a very well written compelling story that will bring tears to your eyes more than once with this wonderful read of heartbreak as these three people find a way to bring Christmas and wishes to the holiday season. One little boy who hasn't spoken a word for years will pull you in and take your heart. He is just a sweetheart that will be a wonderful man. You get to revisit some wonderful characters from the last book and see how their lives have changed. Ms. Hatfield stories just get better and better as she takes you on a wonderful journey of broken hearts and putting them back together again. She brings you tons of smiles in this clean read as she puts these two people in some passionate scenes. I doubt you can read this story without it touching your heart. The only thing I would have liked to have known was what made the little boy never talk after his father was killed.
The ending this author gives you will bring even the strongest to their knees as you wipe a tear from your eye. I really loved this story with strong characters that are broken but won't give in. If you haven't read anything from this author you really should give Wrestlin' Christmas a try. This author has become one of my favorite in a short time. I can't wait to read more from her and her touching reads.
You Own Me (Owned #1)
by Mary Catherine Gebhard
I am really torn on this review there were parts in this book that I thought were great other parts I was totally lost. Some of this made sense other parts made none. The book started out really slow for me, around the middle it got my interest and then it went back to being slow. There are to many secretes with no answers which leaves way to many questions. I had an issue with the repeats of saying the same thing over again. There is really no ending you never know if they end things or keep things as they are. The wife threw me as well as Lenny going to OMG I am xxxx to well that is find wife is no big deal.
Now that I said what I didn't care for let me tell you what I liked. I really like Vic even though I thought he was weird at times. He was a strong alpha male who I really believed cares and loves Lenny but lies to her to keep her. I thought that lie was a little off it didn't make sense. When it came out he lies now that makes sense. Vic is a protector and protect those around him. He wasn't a character you liked right away he came across stuck on his self but turns out he really is a wonderfully sweet man.
Lenny I just do not know what to think of her beside she needs to see a head doctor. She comes across as a normal person and than changes into a head case. You never really know if she really is seeing ghost or if her mind is working overtime. Most of the time she is a really likable person. Your heart does go out to her with the hard life she has lived with parents that need help but never got it. Her mother dies early in her life from hanging herself. Lenny is the one who found her which could be the reason she has so many issues. Her ex Dean was a trip and got what he deserved even though she thought that was a little to much. She ran from Vic for what he did to Dean but gets over that fast and falls for Dean. Lenny is one messed up lady no doubt about it.
One reviewer said this was a book all about sex with no story. I do not agree there is no sex until you are well into the book. There is a story just confusing as times of where it is going to go and how it got there. The sex scenes are on the hot side but Vic said they can't and only goes so far. One day they go all the way so no there isn't that much sex in this story.
There are parts I really enjoyed when Vic and Lenny meet that butt heads. Lenny's ex coming for her had my heart in my throat. At times I thought it was a great read and other time I thought it was a little over the top. My honest thought is this is a 3.5 Star with some great parts and some not so great. I can't say it is a book I want to read again and I feel some of it could have been cut out to make it a better read but all in all it wasn't a bad story and does have a good plot. You judge for yourself some will love this and others may not. For me I am still on the iffy side. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either.
Book Descrption
 "I'll love you until you break my heart. I'll give you the broken pieces of my heart as an offering to you, because you own it. Whole, shattered, alive, or dead; you own my heart no matter what condition it's in. I'll stay with you until you figure out how to feel. I'll stay with you even if you never do."
This is a story about happiness, and how it doesn't simply happen because you fall in love.
Lennox is on the run from her ex-boyfriend. She had to drop everything, tell no one, and move to a new town, alone. She expected to be lonely, she expected to be afraid, but she never expected to meet a man named Vic who drove her crazy with lust and anger and called her "Lenny." If it's at all possible, Vic is more twisted than the man she ran away from.
She should ignore him, but they're drawn to each other like magnets. Lennox ran from from Seattle to Santa Barbara to get away from violence, to create a new life, and to be something simple. Instead she's found herself wrapped up in great friends and an epic love. This new life is the opposite of everything she wants, but it might just be everything she needs.
